This year at the 17th Figura Theatre Festival, the Cantonal Council of Aargau is thrilled to award the 12th Grünschnabel («Greenhorn») Prize. The prize, worth 10,000 Swiss Francs, will go to a young theatre company or artist starting out professionally and creating original work with puppets and objects.

Jury: Christian Bollow, dramaturg at Stuttgart’s «FITZ – Das Theater animierter Formen»; Gunhild Hamer, Head of the Funding Section, Department of Culture, Canton of Aargau; Anna Sommer, comic artist and illustrator from Zurich.

The Aargau Puppetry Award (trophy: Alain Schartner) will be presented on stage at the Kurtheater. Following the award ceremony, there will be a performance of La vraie fausse conférence sur le théâtre d’objet statt.
